"The sweetness of a low price, fades long before the bitterness of poor quality"
I understand that price is always a consideration when purchasing a new puppy. Let me just start off by saying...There is no such thing as a cheap French Bulldog. What you save today can cost you dearly tomorrow.
I ask that you please read the following information before you e-mail or call me. Please allow me to educate you on the price of a Pure Bred French Bulldog.
Whether you buy one of my puppies or someone else's ask yourself the following questions:
1. Are the dams and sires OFA hip, heart and patella luxation certified? 2. Are the dams and sires CERF eye certified? ~ If not move on....... Frenchies are prone to have problems in these areas. You will be able to get a puppy for less money, but is it really worth it if your puppy dies before the estimated life expectancy or has severe hip dysplasia and you end up having surgery on your dog? At the end of the day what have you really saved?
Now .... Does having all the good health certifications guarantee a perfectly healthy puppy that will live out his or her whole life problem free? NO... they just make the odds greater!!! Have the breeder show you the certifications. Or better yet look them up yourself. No reputable breeder will be upset to show you the certifications
Next.... Remember a good breeder will be there for you for the lifetime of your puppy; not just at the time of sale.
So ask yourself...Do you like the breeder?
Is the breeder willing to help you with house training, finding good food and suggestions on a vet?
Does this feel right??
If you don't have a good feeling about the Breeder move on..... You are smart and your instincts are good!!
Here are some RED FLAGS that you should be aware of when talking to breeders:
1. They will not let you see their facility/home. 2. They want to meet you some where other than where their dogs are housed. 3. They will not tell you how many dogs they own. 4. The dogs are not AKC registered. 5. They ask for cash only. 6. They do not have a written 1 year health guarantee. 7. They cannot show you the parents.
All of these things are very important and should not be compromised!! Price is a one time fee... cost could go on forever.
I consider myself to be a fair and reputable breeder:
I breed first for good health and then good looks. My dogs are priced based on color; rarely do I discount my dogs, unless you are purchasing multiple Frenchies from me. I am in business for the long term, not just for today. What I charge for my dogs enables me to take care of them properly.
All of my breeding dogs are AKC registered, microchipped & have received OFA Certifications required for the French Bulldog. All of my puppies are AKC Registered, microchipped, have had all vet recommended inoculations & dewormings for their age at the time of sale, dew claws removed, vet checked and come with a one year written good health guarantee. All deposits are non-refundable. However, if you can't move forward with the purchase of the puppy at any given time, your deposit will remain on file for 2 years upon receival. Deposits may be transferred between litters for your convenience.
